La Sera // Devils Hearts Grow Cold

Been listening to the newish 7" from La Sera, aka the side project from Vivian Girls bassist Katy Goodman. Funny, I suppose, that I feel compelled to label a 12-day-old single as 'newish' instead of brand spanking new, but I guess that's the fleeting nature of music blogging. Loving the 60's throwback pop elements which also seems to be a pretty common thread between just about everything I've listened to/loved so far this year. The track is also lush and dreamy without being overly ethereal or sleep-inducing. Grab it via Hardly Art, who also put out Fergus and Geronimo's debut full length debut the same day.
