If you're strapped for cash or don't feel like making the drive down to SXSW this year, consider stopping by Denton for NX35. This gathering is set to take place March 12-15 with events filling both the AM and PM hours. The daytime festivities include talks on various topics from art to indie rock; the highlight of these discussions being a panel by Harvey Pekar, author of American Splendor. At night, music is the main focus with 9 venues taking on multiple acts. The bands represent only the best of the local music scene and beyond with performances from Sarah Jaffe, Brave Combo, Laura Gibson, and more. Also, there will be a trade show at the Denton Civic Center that features the arts, crafts and wares of the local creative types. With a bit of every type of media represented at NX35, you're bound to find something you'll enjoy. So, come on down...and tell 'em SubEx sent ya!~Jenn
