Quick Decemberists Update

For all you folk/indie fans that also enjoy a bit of romance dashed of violence, I give you the latest from The Decemberists: "The Hazards of Love." This album tells the story of Margaret and her lover William, a woodland animal that takes many forms including a careless rake whose story is revealed in the first single "The Rake's Song." Also of note, The Decemberist will be playing "The Hazards of Love" in its entirety on the first day of SXSW at the NPR stage, a whole week before its official release. NPR Music is live webcasting the whole performance for those who aren't able to attend SXSW. Becky Stark of Lavender's Diamonds and Shara Worden of My Brightest Diamond will join the band on stage during this much-buzzed-about performance.
