Action Painters: DIY Heroes

In the interest of full-disclosure, I will admit that I believe a woman becomes ten times sexier the minute she joins a band.

In these tough economic times when labels and bands alike are suffering, one must take a closer look at some of the more successful DIY outfits out there with some admiration. For this reason I must applaud the Action Painters' latest faux vintage porn promo video teasing the release of their upcoming digital EP. This is a hardworking band that despite managing to sell-out New York's Mercury Lounge has continued to handle all their own PR, booking, management, and promotion.

I'm loving their ultra-poppy, 80's-synth heavy, new single "Supermarket". It's one of those tracks that just makes you feel happy, dancey, and fun.
